Yesterday was a day Off. We slept until late. We were willing to go to a beach. And for that we had to spare like an hour and a half. Other duties were supposed to be finished. But living in Msida makes it very hard to choose on which beach to go. In this part all the beaches are rocky, surrounded by boats and buildings. And all of them are rocky, and that makes them less attractive. But, jet people want to go for a refreshing moment down by the sea. So yesterday, we went on a beach in Ta-Xbiex. It comes in between St. Manoel Island and the Royal Malta Yacht Park, right next to Irrera restaurant. I haven’t been in this restaurant, but it has a very nice terrace and interesting view.
The Beach in Ta-Xbiex
The beach was not crowded, but there were enough people to entertain us. It is not big, but a small rocky beach with clear water. It is suitable for jumping in the sea, and finding a shade is hard. The same case would be for finding a comfortable rock for sunbathing.
If you have snorkels, bring them along. I’ve noticed some nice fishes in the water, and there must be more under. Lately I’ve noticed that I am becoming afraid of the thought of what may be under the water.
Close to the beach in Ta-Xbiex is a Mexican take away food served at Amigos. We did have our lunch from there, and we did enjoyed it. Taco and Nachos. Delicious and spicy. They also do deliveries to many places in the area.
This is definitely a beach for those living here, and those who are luck in time for the day. So if you are just for a quick bathing in the sea, this can be a good idea.
