Christmas Sweets – DIY

Christmas Sweets DIY

I had a wonderful opportunity from my work to participate in a Baking Contest, and present my baking skills to my colleagues. I found this idea very inspiring and creative, and I am more than happy to share my Christmas Sweets I made. I baked Gingerbread Cookies and I created wonderful Marzipan Candies. Please take a look.

Gingerbread Cookies

Christmas Sweets Gingerbread Cookies

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons ginger (ground)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (ground)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
Mix well the butter and the sugar, and then add the rest of the mixed ingredients.
Roll the dough like this, wrap it with a plastic bag and let it refrigerate for 4 hours.

When the time comes roll the dough tick enough and cut different shapes with the cookie cutter. Bake 8 to 10 minutes on a preheated oven on 350 degrees.

I made different variations of mixed ingredients and created all this.ย
Christmas Marzipan presents. I found this idea on YouTube and it was very easy to make.
Marzipan Christmas Tree. It took me a bit to make it, but it really looks nice and is a great detail in the whole picture. ๐Ÿ™‚
Marzipan Snowman, which is very cute and mushrooms. I made a lot of mushrooms with coconut and vanilla flavors.ย

You can freeze the Marzipan and the cookies you can put them in a plastic box until the time comes to e served. This really is sweet as it looks and in a few hours everything can be done.I am looking forward your comments on this, and feel free to share your baking skills and creativity.
