Inspired by all the food I found on the list, I made myself a nice Green Detox Salad with some ingredients I already had at home.
I am aware that I haven’t being having so much of a healthy lifestyle in the last few years, but the awareness is growing and I am really trying to implement new healthier habits in my life. Recently I was researching about the detox of the body, and I even post an article about the food that helps detox your body. Here is the recipe of the salad I made.
Green Detox Salad
For one portion of this salad you will need:
Avocado – You can use as much as you wish, I used half avocado. This plant is a good source of energy and contains many vitamins and minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium,potassium, copper, manganese, phosphorus and zinc). It also has glutathione, that helps detoxing the body.
Asparagus – Use a few of this spring vegetable. I had frozen asparagus, so I boiled them first, and then add them to my salad. It is low in fat, and has vitamin A, E and K and is a strong antioxidant, that everybody needs.
Spinach – I added a had full of Spinach. Even frozen will do a good job. It is great for the blood and it also has numerous healthy benefits. It is low in fat and cholesterol and has protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K. There is also B6, calcium, iron, folate, magnesium, phosphorus and more. It is ideal addition for the health of the body.
I also added some capers,parsley, basil ans some other spices.
I really liked all the combination, and you can feel free to add ingredients that fit best for your taste. I am looking forward of founding some new salad recipes, so you are more then welcome to share them in the comments.
