1.If you had to move to a country that you’ve NEVER been to, and live there for ten years, where would you go?

England. I won’t say anything else on this.

2.If you had to live in a hotel for the rest of your life, which hotel would you choose and why?

I would definitely choose a life on a cruise ship. It is a moving hotel. It will take me all around the world, I will be seeing new places all the time, and I will be experiencing life from different parts of the world. I am not sure which cruise company I would choose, but probably the best one! 🙂

3.If you could only eat the cuisine of one nationality forever more, which would you choose?

Sweet November
Traditional starter portions at “Meana za Merak”

Sorry world, but that will be the Macedonian cuisine without a question. It is simply so delicious and tasty, it is very rich cuisine and there are a variety of recipes. We have everything included, meed and vegetables often go together, and it is something I would never give up.

Take a look at a traditional Macedonian family lunch at Meana za Merak.

4.Who has given you ‘holiday envy’ this year, and how?

My twin friend who went to Thailand. 🙂 That is another country I am willing to be backpacking one day.

5.If you had to look at the same sunrise or the same sunset every day, where in the world would you never get bored of seeing? Please don’t say sitting outside Cafe Mambo in Ibiza.

I think that would be Santorini. Over there, in 2013, I have witnessed the most beautiful sunrise in my life. The thing is the same for the sunset. Being that it has very high spots, watching the sun over the horizon is an amazing thing.

6.If you were taking a ‘staycation’ in your home town, where would it be and what would you recommend others to do?

I would spend it in my home. That is the best place to be. My home town is Shtip, Republic of Macedonia. It is a small city with very warm people. I would recommend going to the Hisar hill, peaking above the city. From there you can have a scenic view on Shtip. People should definitely grab afternoon coffee at the center. That is a place where everyone goes at least once during the day. There are also nice restaurant for tasting the traditional food. 15 km from the city, is the ancient city of Bargala, which has a big tourist unused potential.

7.Describe your perfect travel day of the year?

There were many perfect travel days this year, but I will say that the best one was the day we spent in Gozo in the guest House Bambina. A couple friends from Macedonia visited us in Malta, and we had a two day trip to Gozo. We had such a great time, we visited some of the main tourist attractions on the island, like Victoria and Cittadella and Azure Window. The hospitality in Bambina exceeded all our expectations.

8.What have you ticked off your bucket list in 2016?

The biggest happening in 2016 was leaving Malta and moving to Prague. In Malta I already had visited many places before even making a bucket list. I had one for the last month of Malta, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to tick much from it. I visited casa Rocca Piccola, which was on my mind for a while.

9.What is top of your travel bucket list for 2017?

A trip to Indonesia, with my closest friends! That would be something amazing, and a great experience, which I really wish to happen.

10.Share your favorite Instagram photo of 2016?

This is a picture taken on Kozuf mountain in Macedonia. It was a misty day and I adore the photo.

  1. Very clever answer with the cruise! What hotel can possibly beat a cruise ship, with a new port every day or so?

  2. Nice post. I hope to get to Macedonia next year as we travel through Eastern Europe so I will keep an eye out for your home town 🙂

    1. You should definitely think about Macedonia, it has amazing food and great nature beauty. 🙂
